Company Description Insight Academics is an educational consulting and curriculum development company focused on designing innovative learning experiences for students, educators, schools, and organizations. The team specializes in curriculum development, instructional design, assessment systems, executive functioning, neurodiverse learning, and evidence-informed educational programming.

Role Description The Learning Specialist – Elementary is a part-time, on-site role based in SE Calgary, AB. MUST be available to work in SE Calgary - Mahogany Area. This role involves designing and delivering instructional programs and learning interventions for elementary-aged students, with a focus on diverse learning needs and executive functioning skills. The Learning Specialist collaborates with educators, families, and internal team members to create customized learning plans, develop curriculum materials, and support implementation in classroom and small-group settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent experience in elementary education is an asset.
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and varied executive functioning profiles.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, educators, and organizational partners.
  • Strong Instructional Design skills for creating curriculum, interventions, and learning materials tailored to elementary and neurodiverse learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing needs, and apply educational research and data to inform instructional decisions.
