Empower adults with developmental disabilities as a Contract Functional Math Instructor at Mount Royal University. Teach essential literacy skills in a supportive environment during part-time sessions.
This role in the Transitional Vocational Program involves teaching Functional Math and Literacy to adult learners. You will tailor your instruction to meet individual learning styles and ensure essential skills in reading, writing, and numeracy are learned effectively. Engage creatively with students, assess their progress, and collaborate with peers to enhance educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging course content and materials effectively
• Prepare lesson plans and assessments tailored to student needs
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress
• Provide timely feedback to enhance academic success
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster an efficient learning environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience with adults who have developmental disabilities
• Skilled in using technology for teaching, especially Google tools
• Proven classroom management capabilities
• Competent in formative and summative assessments
