Kindergarten Educational Assistant

Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in grades K-9. GCA is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). GCA has a head of school, two principals, three vice principals and a staff of over 125 serving approximately 1000 students.
GCA has an opportunity for a full time Kindergarten Assistant. This position reports directly to the Kindergarten Teacher and indirectly to the Elementary Principal. The primary responsibility of this individual is to support the students and the teacher within a full day Kindergarten Program

Ability to handle confidential information
Agile and able to work closely with children at their physical levels; includes being on their feet, knees, and taking part in physical activities as required
Qualifications   Agrees to and adheres to the GCA Statement of Faith - without reservation
Fluent in English
Preferred Education   At least two years of experience specific to Early Childhood is preferred
Preferred Certifications And Education   Bachelor of Education
Early Childhood Certificate
Educational Assistant Certificate
While applicants need not have this aforementioned education, local candidates with the relevant certification will be given preference. Applicants must have the right to work in Canada. Glenmore Christian Academy offers a compensation package competitive with public schools in Alberta.
