Position: Mount Royal University Literacy Instructor
Join Mount Royal University's Transitional Vocational Program as a Literacy Instructor focused on Functional Math and everyday skills. Deliver impactful teaching to adults with developmental disabilities.

In this contract role, you'll instruct part-time Functional Math and Literacy courses designed for adult learners. You'll engage students using varied methods tailored to individual learning needs, administer assessments, and continuously adapt your curriculum for maximum effect. Your ability to provide meaningful feedback and support will enhance student experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver course outlines and instructional materials

• Assess student abilities and progress through tailored assessments

• Facilitate innovative learning activities and experiences

• Collaborate with instructional staff to refine teaching strategies

• Participate in program meetings and submit administrative documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Experience working with adults with developmental challenges

• Knowledge of using technology in instruction and Google applications

• Effective classroom management skills

• Proficient in assessment strategies for learning enhancement
