Description

The School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), Division of Music invites applications for Sessional Instructors to teach the following course in the Winter 2027.

MUED 343 Elementary Music Education LEC 01

Winter 2027 - January 11 to April 13, 2027

Monday and Wednesday, 18:00 to 19:15

Course Description

Strategies for teaching music at the elementary level both in schools following the Alberta curriculum and community contexts. Learning experiences will help students design lessons with a strong emphasis on music making appropriate for young learners.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum Master's degree in Music and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Significant experience teaching music at the elementary level
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver curriculum at the post-secondary level
