Position: Early Childhood Educational Assistant (EA) – Canmore, AB
Pay  CA $21.00 – CA $25.00 per hour
Job Overview  MaxECS is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team in Canmore, AB. In this role, you will support teacher effectiveness by working with learners who require individualized supports for significant challenges, while promoting their independence and growth.
About Us  We provide Early Childhood Services to children ages 3–5 who require additional support in preschool, daycare, and kindergarten programs. As an Educational Assistant, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team that includes parents, program teachers, certificated teachers, and therapists. Together, we create safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Position Details   School-year program (contract end dates vary in June depending on location)
Experience supporting children with additional needs, including behavioral challenges, is essential
Level 1 Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification required (or currently working toward completion)

Responsibilities   Provide care and supervision for preschool-aged children
Collaborate with teachers to implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
Support children’s learning in areas such as math, literacy, and social skills
Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers
Assist with classroom and behavior management strategies
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children

Skills & Requirements   Level 1 Early Childhood Education certification (or in progress)
Experience working with young children requiring additional support, including behavioral challenges
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Clear Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check required
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (applications from outside Canada will not be considered)
Hours Work hours will vary depending on program location.
