As part of the Utilities Consumer Advocate team, the Junior Consumer Education Specialist engages with Alberta’s residents, farms, and small businesses.
Your role involves developing and delivering educational initiatives, establishing partnerships, and ensuring consumers receive accurate information regarding electricity and natural gas services. You will play a crucial role in creating informed decision-makers, emphasizing the importance of utility education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop educational programs and outreach activities
• Create engaging presentations and workshops
• Provide clear information to consumers statewide
• Build relationships with community and stakeholder organizations
• Monitor and report on program effectiveness
Requirements:
• University degree in education, arts, or related field
• Class 5 Driver's License
• Strong writing and research skills
• Experience in public outreach is an asset
• Must work evenings and weekends as needed
