The Office of Continuing Medical Education in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Programs & Engagement Liaison
. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 6 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.

This position reports to the Manager, CME.

The Programs & Engagement Liaison plays a hands-on role in bringing professional development and continuing education programs to life, from first concept through delivery and evaluation. Working closely with internal teams, faculty, subject matter experts, and external partners, the incumbent coordinates educational initiatives while contributing directly to program quality, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

The Programs & Engagement Liaison serves as the key liaison among planning committees, subject matter experts, learners, and stakeholders, supporting both in-person and online learning environments. The role offers hands-on exposure to project coordination, relationship-building, and program delivery, and calls for strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills to drive successful outcomes.

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

Program Coordination and Delivery:

  • Coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of multiple live educational programs and events at once, real, hands-on project ownership from day one
  • Support the development and delivery of in-person, virtual, and blended learning experiences
  • Collaborate directly with educational consultants, planning committees, faculty, and subject matter experts throughout the full program lifecycle
  • Coordinate program schedules, timelines, deliverables, and logistics, keeping every moving piece on track

Project and Operational Support:

  • Maintain project plans and track progress across program-related activities
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow through on action items
  • Support operational planning and implementation of educational initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of program processes and workflows
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement activities and post-program debriefs, your ideas on what could work better are genuinely wanted
  • Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, learner experience, and program outcomes

Stakeholder and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the go-to liaison and primary point of contact for faculty, learners, planning committee members, vendors, and external partners, direct access to subject matter experts and physicians rarely offered this early in a career
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate communications related to educational activities, events, and program updates

Online Learning and Technology Administration:

  • Get hands-on with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology platforms
  • Coordinate virtual learning activities, webinars, live streams, and online learning experiences
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to course delivery and online participation
  • Manage educational content and digital learning resources across multiple platforms
  • Support learner registration, access management, and course communications

Accreditation and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in ensuring educational activities meet applicable accreditation standards and requirements
  • Maintain program documentation and records required for accreditation processes
  • Support data collection and reporting activities related to program outcomes and accreditation compliance

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Develop, administer, and monitor learner evaluations and surveys
