Join Alberta Ballet School as a Residence Assistant in Calgary, AB, dedicated to helping students thrive in a supportive living environment. Be the foundation of care and mentorship for youth in residence.
As a regular part-time Residence Assistant, you will work under the Head of Residence, directly impacting youth ages 12 to 20. Responsibilities include emotional support, light housekeeping, and coordinating activities that promote community engagement and well-being. Your presence will be crucial during times of crisis, and you’ll have the opportunity to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be available for students throughout your shift
• Provide support in personal and emotional needs
• Manage meal service operations and cleanup
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the residence
• Assist in planning and leading engaging activities
Requirements:
• Background in youth care or residential support
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate
• High school diploma minimum; childcare certification is a plus
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing situations
