Casual Student Supervision Assistant Positions

Calgary French & International School invites applications for casual, part-time Student Supervision Assistants. Provide support for students in grades 1 through 5 in a nurturing atmosphere.

At CFIS, each Student Supervision Assistant plays a vital role in fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. Covering for absent staff, you will oversee students during crucial play, snack, and group activities. You’ll work closely with the children, implementing programs that align with best practices in French immersion education and supporting each child's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during all activities, including play and meals

• Assist in executing daily instructional activities

• Create and maintain a welcoming classroom setting

• Facilitate ongoing developmental support for children

• Lead programming for grades 1-6 before or after school

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education Level 1 certification required

• Current Standard Level B (Childcare) First Aid certification

• Experience working with children aged 5-12 is an asset

• Mandatory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

• Knowledge of French immersion education practices
