Out of School Care Staff – Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator

Calgary International Academy  is seeking a caring, dependable, and qualified  Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator  to join our Out of School Care program.
The successful candidate will help provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for school-aged Kindergarten through Grade 6 students outside regular classroom hours.

Key responsibilities:

Supervise students and support their safety and well-being.
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate recreational, creative, and STEAM activities.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, cooperation, and self-regulation.
Maintain program routines, attendance records, and a clean, appropriately sanitized, organized environment.
Communicate professionally with children, students, families, colleagues, and school leadership.
Follow all applicable licensing, health and safety, emergency, and child-protection requirements, including but not limited to those established under the  Early Learning and Child Care Act , the  Early Learning and Child Care Regulation , and the  Licensing Handbook for Facility-Based Programs .
Required and mandatory qualifications:
Valid Alberta  Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification .
Current and Valid (not expired) Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
Current Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search (not older than 6 months from the date of hire).
Experience working with school-aged children in K-6 is preferred but not required.
Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom-management skills.
Commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
