Cavalier Energy Centre Operations Technician

Location: Strathmore

Join NAES Canada as an Operations Technician at the Cavalier Energy Centre, located in Strathmore, AB. This role includes overseeing power generation equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

As a key member of the Operations and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining plant equipment, including Distributed Control Systems and condition monitoring technologies. With a minimum of three years of progressive experience in power generation, you will support troubleshooting and maintenance programs, contributing to operational excellence and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor power generation equipment efficiently

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems

• Implement safety work systems like Lockout/Tagout

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations

• Engage in inventory management and stock-taking

Requirements:

• Second Class Inter-Provincial Power Engineering Certificate preferred

• Minimum 3 years experience in power generation

• Knowledge of control systems and safety protocols

• Valid driver's license in good standing

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adhere to safety protocols
