We are currently looking for a full-time Junior Safety Officer to join the team.

Roles and Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections and assist in identifying and reporting unsafe acts or conditions
Participate in toolbox and safety meetings, ensuring consistent communication of safety expectations
Support supervisors and HSE Coordinators with incident reporting and follow-up actions
Assist in completing hazard assessments, safety documentation, and site audits
Help organize and track safety training, certifications, and orientation records
Support implementation of company safety policies, procedures, and programs
Participate in safety initiatives and campaigns to reinforce a strong safety culture
Maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee and company information
Perform other duties as assigned by HSE Coordinators or site management
Required Skills Professional, approachable and excellent customer service skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Attention to detail, organization and willingness to learn
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and influence individuals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Required Experience and Education Completion of Grade 12 or GED
Working towards NCSO designation would be considered an asset
1–2 years of experience in a Health and Safety or construction-related role (field experience preferred)
Basic understanding of OHS legislation and construction safety practices
Additional Requirements Travel to various jobsites is required
