Renewable Energy Operations Centre Operator

Become a key player in renewable energy with our Operations Centre Operator role. Monitor wind turbines, manage alarms, and enhance overall facility operations.

This position requires someone with an Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering Technology background. You will be responsible for monitoring real-time performance, investigating faults, and coordinating outages. Collaborate with facility operators to ensure smooth operations while implementing both standard and emergency procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor renewable fleet performance in real-time

• Investigate alarms and reset turbines when needed

• Notify operators of any trend or fault issues

• Document operating events per BEROC procedures

• Coordinate control room activities and compile reports

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering Technology

• Experience in power generation or transmission

• Knowledge of renewable energy operations and designs

• Ability to read SLDs and procedural manuals

• Strong multitasking and attention to detail skills
