This full-time position on the Hydro Optimization team focuses on creating daily hydro operating plans and managing energy offers effectively. You will collaborate with the Asset Optimization team, ensuring efficient water resource utilization within regulatory frameworks. Strong analytical skills and clear communication are essential for success in this operationally intensive role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily operating generation plans for hydro assets

• Optimize water resource use within regulatory constraints

• Maintain compliance with AESO rules and environmental standards

• Provide guidelines to Hydro System Control Center Operators

• Offer technical advice for water management

Requirements:

• Engineering degree specializing in Water Resources or Hydrology

• In-depth knowledge of water resource principles

• Experience in energy markets and operational settings

• Strong Excel skills and basic SCADA understanding

• Self-motivated and results-driven
