High Voltage Substation Supervisor

Fire Fly Power & Energy is seeking a Substation Supervisor with over 7 years of experience in electrical substation construction. This role requires strong technical knowledge of high-voltage systems, leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to safety regulations. You will oversee project execution to ensure timely completion within budget while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise substation construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities

• Lead, mentor, and train technicians and subcontractors

• Ensure strict adherence to Alberta OHS regulations

• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams

• Conduct quality control inspections of substation components

Requirements:

• 7+ years in electrical substation construction

• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems (69kV to 240kV)

• Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician ticket preferred

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites
