Safety-Focused Permit Coordinator at TransAlta

Trans Alta is seeking a Permit Coordinator for its Keephills Thermal Plant, focusing on safety and coordination in Thermal Operations. This full-time role involves critical permit management tasks.

In this position at Keephills Thermal Plant, located 70 kilometers west of Edmonton, Alberta, you will ensure safe work practices through effective coordination between Operations and Maintenance teams. As a Permit Coordinator, you will oversee the issuance of work permits, compliance with LOTO procedures, and conduct safety inspections on site.

Your role will also involve extensive documentation and reporting duties to support operational safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve and issue necessary work permits

• Verify hazard assessments and safety controls

Requirements:

• Power Engineering certification (2nd Class preferred)
