Calgary Energy Market Analyst Position

As a Market Analyst, you will engage in a range of essential duties over a two-year term, including advising on energy information and enhancing data management strategies. Your contributions will support the CER in advising decision-makers and developing impactful energy publications while collaborating with a team of experts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses and support decision-making processes

• Present energy data to technical staff and senior leaders

• Research and draft content for data visualization

• Manage and validate energy databases using SQL and Python

• Strengthen relationships across CER for better knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Completion of an undergraduate degree

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in energy market analysis

• Familiarity with energy information products and analytics

• Strong relationship-building capabilities

• Flexibility for travel and overtime as needed
