Full-Time Energy Project Developer at TransAlta

Trans Alta is on the lookout for a dedicated Project Developer to join our Calgary Growth team full-time. Drive forward thermal and renewable energy projects from concept to completion.

This role involves managing every aspect of project development, reporting directly to the Director of Development in Canada. You will set project priorities, manage schedules, and budgets, while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Your expertise will ensure projects align with Trans Alta's competitive goals and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide thermal and renewable projects from planning to Final Investment Decision

• Collaborate with internal departments for project advancement

• Build relationships with landowners and community stakeholders

• Develop and track budgets and schedules

• Proactively manage development risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar

• 5+ years of progressive project experience

• Knowledge of various energy technologies

• Proven team leadership abilities

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
