Specialist in Supply Analysis at AltaGas

Take a pivotal role at Alta Gas as a Specialist in Supply Fundamentals, driving supply forecasts and strategic insights for the energy sector in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis, you will be instrumental in developing models for long-term gas and liquids forecasting. Your strong analytical capabilities will combine diverse datasets to create insights that support key business strategies. Collaborating with the Commercial and Business Development teams ensures that forecasts are aligned with operational plans and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft long-term supply forecast models for the WCSB

• Produce bottom-up forecasts based on market variables

• Develop and maintain resource play type curves

• Aggregate data from various sources for accurate forecasting

• Review market intelligence on drilling activities and trends

Requirements:

• 10+ years of analytical experience in upstream or energy sectors

• Proficient understanding of North American oil and gas markets

• Advanced skills in Excel for model development

• Capable of managing complex projects under tight deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced credentials preferred
