Capital Power is searching for an analytical Energy Trader to enhance its Western US Trading team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the optimization of energy assets and assist in executing speculative trading across power and gas markets. Your expertise in risk management and strong quantitative skills will be vital in maximizing the team's performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and optimize energy assets across WECC and CAISO

• Develop trading strategies for efficient market operations

• Support structured deal execution and market evaluations

• Manage stakeholder relationships and negotiable agreements

• Implement effective risk management practices in trading

Requirements:

• Degree in Math, Economics, or related field

• 3+ years in physical power trading experience

• Ability to develop and analyze trading models

• Proficient in analytical tools, including Python

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
