Position: • Senior Process Engineer

Location
Cornerstone Engineering, 1144 29th Ave NE, Calgary, AB. Canada
Office-based, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and project managers of various disciplines, to execute the design of wellsite facilities, pipelines, compressor stations, gas plants, and conventional oil facilities.
  • Provide mentoring, assistance and guidance to Junior/Intermediate Process Engineers.
  • Ensure appropriate use of mechanical engineering specifications in the design of pipeline and facilities;
    Including pipe sizing and major/minor equipment sizing
  • Review and develop drawings (Plot Plan, PFD, P&, Line lists, etc.) to meet client and provincial standards/regulations.
  • Review vendor drawings for suitability and client preferences to be fit for the application
  • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews and other sessions with other disciplines to review technical issues and provide input into process operability
  • Conduct process simulations using Symmetry and/or HYSYS software
  • Provide technical & engineering support to the operations team
  • Work with various discipline leads (electrical, instrumentation and mechanical)
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Clients, Vendors
  • Estimate development support, including discipline specific input into the estimates
  • Review and assist in the development of DBMs, Control Narratives, Shutdown Keys and other engineering documents.
  • Prepare, review and/or check process calculations made during the course of a project
  • Prepare project study reports to document findings for the client.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of Process Engineering experience.
  • Chemical Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation for Alberta.
  • O&G Experience in Western Canada preferred.
  • Working knowledge of process design software such as Symmetry, HYSYS and Pro Max.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and work well within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide mentoring, guidance and delegation of work to team members.
