Monitoring Specialist

West Corp Solutions is seeking a Condition Based Monitoring Specialist to support our client in the Fort McMurray area. This role supports piping inspection and integrity programs, with a focus on condition-based and risk-based inspection activities. The successful candidate will review inspection data, assess risk, and work collaboratively with site stakeholders to support inspection planning and timely intervention recommendations.

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Contract Type: Initial contract to end of December 2026

• Create inspection packages for piping inspections, including time-based, condition-based, and risk-based inspections
• Review NDE results to determine corrosion rates, probability of failure, and associated financial and SHE risk
• Develop recommendations for inspection intervals, mitigation actions, and interventions based on inspection findings
• Work with stakeholders to manage higher-corrosion-rate circuits and support piping inspection deferrals as required
• Support efforts to achieve and maintain zero overdue piping inspections within assigned units
• Communicate inspection findings, risks, and recommendations to engineering, inspection, and operations teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent
• Inspection Technologist certification (Inspection, Welding, Materials)
• Approximately 1–6 years of experience related to piping inspection, damage mechanisms, or inspection programs
• Experience reviewing NDE data and supporting inspection or integrity activities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and ask questions
• Valid H2S Alive, Permit Receiver, Fall Arrest/Working at Heights, and Confined Space certification
