Key Experience
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience
- Strong experience with industrial building HVAC design and layout, including pump houses
- Experience with HVAC system sizing, ductwork, air handling units, ventilation, and controls
- Ability to develop HVAC design documentation, layouts, and specifications
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
- Perform detailed HVAC engineering activities to deliver high-quality, constructible designs
- Develop HVAC system layouts, ductwork and piping designs, equipment schedules, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to ensure design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements are met
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project scope, cost, and schedule objectives
- Ensure designs are constructible in the field with minimal revisions
- Support cost estimate and project schedule development
- Comply with the Project Quality Management System and applicable HVAC standards
- Manage scope and support formal change management processes when required
- Ensure HVAC designs align with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience for industrial applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
