Adecco is hiring an Estimator in Calgary, AB. Are you an experienced estimator ready to take your skills to the next level? In this role, you will be a key contributor in the pre-construction and development of multifamily and mixed-use projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing drawings and specifications, and collaborating with architects, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams. You'll help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with financial certainty - directly impacting Calgary's growing residential landscape.

  • Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and Class A/B estimates for multifamily and mixed-use developments
  • Analyze design drawings, specifications, and project scope to determine materials, labour, and equipment requirements
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs for architectural, structural, civil, and MEP components
  • Lead trade solicitation, RFP processes, and bid leveling for subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Assist in preparation of construction budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and internal approvals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align cost models with development pro formas
  • Support design coordination by identifying cost impacts from design changes, site conditions, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in value engineering, schedule development, risk assessments, and project phasing strategies
  • Review change orders and participate in post-project cost reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • 3-7+ years estimating experience in multifamily residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction
  • Strong knowledge of building systems: architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, CAD, CostX, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of the Alberta construction market and cost drivers
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is an asset
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with residential home building is preferred
