The Technical Training Coordinator supports AMO operations through the development, delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of training programs applicable to personnel, including technical, regulatory, safety, quality, and competency-based training requirements. This role is responsible for supporting compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, approved procedures, competency frameworks, and organizational training standards through structured training administration, content development, record control, and personnel competency oversight.
In support of operational requirements, the role may also perform delegated technical inspection and quality support activities within approved scope and delegated authority.
Training Program Development & Delivery
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and continuously improve training programs applicable to the AMO.
- Prepare, deliver, and maintain initial, recurrent, update, difference, remedial, and on-the-job training programs within approved processes.
- Develop and maintain technical training materials, lesson plans, presentations, training aids, assessments, and supporting documentation.
- Provide instruction on approved policies and procedures, certification responsibilities, human factors, SMS awareness, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support technical onboarding and orientation programs for new personnel.
- Ensure training content remains aligned with current approved procedures, operational practices, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance standardization, competency, and operational performance.
- Coordinate and maintain training schedules, recurrent training cycles, and qualification tracking requirements.
- Monitor personnel training status, competency requirements, and expiry dates to ensure continuity of qualification and delegated authority.
- Conduct and support Training Needs Analyses (TNA) to identify role-based training requirements and competency gaps.
- Support development and maintenance of competency matrices aligned with operational functions, inspection authority, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external training activities with operational managers, vendors, customers, and regulatory stakeholders as required.
- Support competency assessments and contribute to development of structured training pathways for technical personnel.
- Maintain training records, competency files, and qualification documentation in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support administration and maintenance of electronic and legacy training records within approved systems.
- Ensure training documentation, revision control, and record retention processes remain compliant and audit ready.
- Maintain awareness of applicable regulatory, customer, and industry training expectations, including CAR 571/573, SMS, quality, and AMO requirements.
- Support responses to audit findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to training and competency management.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of training standards, controlled training content, and sustainable program processes.
- Perform delegated technical inspection activities within approved authority, including in-process and final verification as authorized.
