Piping Designer

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Piping Designer to support complex design initiatives within the oil & gas sector. This role will focus on 3D modeling, piping layout development, and multidisciplinary coordination
, leveraging industry-standard tools such as CADWorx and AutoCAD Plant 3D
.

You will play a critical role in translating P&IDs into accurate, high-quality designs
, ensuring proper equipment spacing and alignment across engineering disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in both independent execution and collaborative project environments

• Develop and modify 3D piping models and layouts using CADWorx and Plant 3D
• Interpret and apply Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) into design outputs
• Ensure proper equipment layout, spacing, and system integration
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, electrical, etc.)
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, constructability, and design quality
• Work independently while contributing to a collaborative engineering environment

• 5–15 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial design
• Strong proficiency with CADWorx and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Proven experience in piping layout and 3D modeling
• Solid understanding of equipment spacing and design principles
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams

$30/hr to $45/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
