Support environmental integrity as an Environmental Technician in Calgary, specializing in assessments and remediation for oil and gas projects across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Elevate your career in a regionally significant industry while focusing on compliance and technical reporting.
We seek a dedicated Environmental Technician to engage in hands-on environmental fieldwork, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will have the opportunity to conduct field investigations, gather data, and prepare critical technical documents. Candidates should be equipped with relevant experience in environmental assessments and project support, able to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental sample collection and analysis
• Coordinate Environmental Site Assessments effectively
• Monitor compliance during excavation and drilling activities
• Maintain accurate data documentation and reporting
• Support waste management protocols as per regulations
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science or related area
• 2–3 years of relevant field experience required
• Prior exposure to oil and gas sites is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of provincial environmental regulations
• Class 5 driver’s license and travel capability
