As a Senior Geologist, you'll work within a multi-disciplinary team reporting to the Alberta Geoscience Manager. Your expertise in evaluating drilling prospects, generating asset development strategies, and presenting technical recommendations will be crucial. The role requires collaboration with geoscience, engineering, and production teams to enhance operational consistency and project economics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geological evaluations using core data and well logs
• Generate technical insights for asset development strategies
• Prepare presentations for leadership reviews
• Evaluate land opportunities for acquisition or divestiture
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. in Geology with 8+ years in oil and gas
• Registered with APEGA or similar organization
• Proficiency in geoscience software
• Strong project management and technical evaluation skills
• Understanding of geology and sequence stratigraphy
