Elevate your career as a Senior Geologist at Cenovus in Calgary, contributing to the Conventional Heavy Oil team. Utilize geological evaluations and technical insights to drive asset development success.
This role requires a dedicated Senior Geologist, who will report to the Alberta Geoscience Manager and engage in multidisciplinary teamwork. You'll conduct geological evaluations, prepare recommendations, and evaluate land opportunities for strategic asset management. Your expertise will support development plans and integrate cutting-edge technologies into ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geological evaluations using various data sources
• Prepare and present technical recommendations for leadership
• Monitor industry trends and integrate advancements
• Collaborate across teams for technical documentation
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives in workflows
Requirements:
• Degree in Geology with 8+ years of experience
• Registered member of APEGA or similar
• Proficiency in geoscience software (Geographix, Petrel)
• Strong project management and technical evaluation skills
• Deep knowledge of clastic depositional systems
