Pario Engineering and Environmental Services is currently seeking a Structural Forensic Engineer who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support the Calgaryarea.
The successful applicant will be responsible for performing forensic investigations for structural, building envelope, as well as building code compliance issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders. In this position, you will join a highly creative and collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. A willingness to travel is a must.
Responsibilities:
Assess, analyze and report on the cause and origin of structural failuresInterview witnesses, service personnel and other local officialsProvide structural designs for restoration and renovation purposesDevelop and complete full working drawings for building department acceptanceComplete complex or innovative projects of any size where new or innovative design approaches are requiredLead project(s) from start to finishProvide clean, accurate, and timely designsEducation, Knowledge and Experience
Required:
Minimum bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering requiredProfessional Engineering license, or the ability to be licensed in the Province of Alberta requiredMinimum 4-5 years’ experience.Preferably, experience includes strong residential design experience and/or equivalent work experienceExperience with in the insurance and legal industry is an assetA demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completionProficient in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook & Excel)Expert knowledge and understanding of the Regional Building CodeHand-on construction experience would be an assetPositive, self-driven, motivated, personal attitudeA willingness and passion to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry eventsCustomer facing experience:
