Position Overview

Axispoint is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Piping Designer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the development of piping layouts, 3D models, and construction deliverables for industrial and infrastructure projects. Immediate project requirements are isometric generation in AutoCAD Plant 3D. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.

The position is based at Axispoint office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings
  • Assist in the preparation of P&IDs; and piping deliverables
  • Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural)
  • Perform clash detection and model coordination
  • Maintain drawing standards and project documentation
  • Support revisions, markups, and as‑built documentation
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
  • 1–5+ years of relevant experience (junior/intermediate level)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D (required)
  • Strong understanding of piping design fundamentals
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
Assets (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with Revit (considered an advantage)
  • Experience with industrial or oil & gas projects
  • Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, CSA, etc.)
  • Experience with Navisworks or model coordination tools
