Réalis is growing and our Western Canadian Engineering group is seeking an Electrical Construction Administrator who is open to working part‑time or on a full‑time basis to join our growing Calgary Electrical Engineering team. In this role, you will ensure the electrical scope of building and infrastructure projects is delivered to design intent, contract obligations, safety requirements, and code compliance. The role blends site presence with contract administration, coordinating among contractors, designers, and clients to keep quality, schedule, and cost on track, while collaborating with engineers, technologists, and technicians to design, develop, and implement electrical systems and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Perform scheduled site reviews; issue field reports with photos and action items.
- Confirm installations match drawings, specifications and contract; flag and resolve variances.
- Administer RFIs, submittals, site instructions, change orders, and progress claims.
- Participate in construction and coordination meetings, document decisions and follow‑ups, and lead meetings.
- Support testing, verification and commissioning; witness key functional tests and document results.
- Review shop drawings, as‑builts, O&M manuals, and drive closeout to completion.
- Maintain organized records (logs, correspondence, approvals) in the project platform.
- Collaborate with design teams, contractors, AHJs, and client reps to remove roadblocks quickly.
- Uphold site safety practices and promote continuous improvement and quality.
- Certification as Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal/309A).
- C.E.T., or equivalent experience (asset).
- Experience performing this type of role in Alberta or elsewhere in Canada.
- 6+ years in electrical construction administration or electrical field supervision.
- Experience in Buildings & Facilities/Light Rail & Transit or other site work related to our sectors.
- Strong grasp of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and applicable codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code and provincial building codes).
- Familiar with CCDC contracts, contract administration, and commissioning workflows.
- Proficient with Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and a project platform; capable of reading CAD drawings.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident in contractor/client discussions.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites as required through Alberta, BC, and Yukon.
