Position: Senior Hydrologist at Suncor Energy
Join Suncor Energy as a Senior Hydrologist in Alberta and influence water management for mining operations. You will lead hydrological studies, water quality assessments, and provide technical expertise.
In this role, you will have a solid foundation in hydrology and hydraulics, with a preference for candidates who have experience in oil sands mining operations. You will conduct assessments, modeling, and monitoring programs while ensuring environmentally responsible practices. Your expertise will contribute to innovations in water management strategies, benefiting both operations and the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead hydrological assessments and monitoring for mining operations

• Prepare engineering designs related to water management

• Conduct data analysis and present actionable recommendations

• Collaborate on integrated project teams for effective stewardship

• Support environmental risk management through water quality evaluation
Requirements:

• 7 years of relevant hydrological experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)

• Proven skills in water modelling and design

• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles
