Solid Works Drafter – Job Summary
Company: Wasea Metal Industries Ltd.
Location: Rocky View County / Calgary, Alberta
Type: Full-time, Permanent
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Solid Works Drafter to join our engineering team. You will create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for custom steel buildings, structural components, skids, and metal fabrications.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop accurate 3D models and 2D shop drawings using Solid Works
- Create assemblies, weldments, sheet metal parts, and BOMs
- Revise drawings based on changes and customer requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams
- Ensure drawings meet fabrication and quality standards
REQUIREMENTS
Advanced proficiency in Solid Works (2+ years experience)
Strong background in sheet metal, weldments, and structural steel
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
