The CIMA+ offices in Western Canada are experiencing significant growth, offering a range of large, complex projects. This role is aimed at professionals who wish to develop their skillsets, tackle new challenges, and advance their careers within the organization.
PositionMechanical Materials Handling Engineer – Mechanical Resources Team, Energy & Resources division.
Responsibilities- Participate in the production of deliverables aligned with project needs.
- Develop and produce design deliverables for a variety of industrial projects.
- Work within multidisciplinary project teams, producing and signing off deliverables.
- Collaborate with the department lead to pursue new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimation.
- Support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge and resources.
- Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, and all other regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement budgets.
- Participate in site surveys.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of engineering design experience in the mining sector.
- Possession of a P.Eng designation or eligibility to obtain one in Canada is an asset.
- Proven organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, self‑motivate and adapt to change.
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Experience with metal/mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems, and/or pressure vessels is considered an asset.
Salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position’s stipend may vary accordingly.
