We tackle interesting building projects in and around Calgary and Canmore and support work across all ISL offices. Projects include condition assessments in provincial parks, skylight glazing investigations at water treatment facilities, foundation waterproofing in the Yukon, re‑roofs for First Nations public works buildings, facade restoration on heritage structures, and consulting on custom homes and multi‑family housing.

You will be introduced to the full lifecycle of enclosure projects — from initial condition assessments and risk identification through design, contract administration and field review. You will work alongside experienced team members, supporting clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, and building your technical skills on every file.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing design packages including drawings and specifications.
- Field review of work in progress to confirm general conformance to the design documents.
- Review documentation (e.g., architectural drawings) to identify areas of risk for water ingress, air leakage, and condensation.
- Perform general contract administration tasks – change orders, site instructions, certificates for payment, etc.
- Assist with investigations and reports documenting existing conditions and evaluation of future risks.
- Support Building Enclosure Condition Assessments across a range of building types and sectors.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Degree in civil or structural engineering, building or architectural science, EIT, or a combination of education and work experience.
- 0–3 years of related experience (new grads welcome if genuinely enclosure‑interested).
- Aptitude to have strong technical knowledge of building enclosure design and construction principles.
- Experience preparing design packages including drawings and specifications.
- Ability to solve problems using past experience and building science principles.
- Skill in building condition assessments and report writing.
