Join the Major Projects group of WSP in the Energy, Resources and Industry (ERI) sector and contribute to the delivery of complex projects across Canada. Our team provides project management, project control, construction management and supply chain services for major projects in the mining, energy, industrial and electrical sectors, ensuring consistent, high‑quality execution wherever the project is located.
In the role of Senior Procurement Specialist , you will play a key role in supporting client‑facing projects and may act as the Lead Procurement Officer on select major initiatives. This position may be based in Calgary, Alberta or Montréal, Québec , with flexible work options.
Votre impact- Lead procurement activities for large, complex client projects in the energy, industrial, and electrical sectors.
- Develop bidder lists, prepare tender documents, issue DP/RFPs, and manage bid evaluation and negotiation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, responsible engineers, and project teams to align procurement with delivery schedules.
- Manage purchase orders, purchase requests, change management, and contract close‑out activities.
- Work with clients, suppliers, shippers, logistics and quality teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Communicate clearly to stakeholders the impacts on schedule, delays and risks.
- Act as the lead procurement officer on major projects and mentor junior and intermediate buyers.
- Support resource planning, budget monitoring, scope changes and effort estimation at the project level.
- University, college or certificate in supply chain management or a related field.
- 8–12 years of procurement experience on energy, electrical or industrial projects.
- Experience in an EPCM environment (asset).
- Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, workflows and contract administration.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and supply‑chain management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex equipment purchases.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively at all organization levels.
- Bilingualism (English/French) preferred.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
The final salary for this position may vary from the range above based on several factors including relevant experience, skills and location. The salary range may be modified for commercial reasons.
