This full-time, one-year term role emphasizes your expertise in Geographic Information Systems and data management for ecological and spatial datasets. You will actively contribute to interdisciplinary projects by providing your scientific data analysis skills to support effective management and protection of natural resources. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed maps, managing complex datasets, and enhancing resources with user-friendly visualization aids.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and analyze complex ecological data sets
• Develop and deliver GIS training for staff
• Produce informative maps and data reports
• Collaborate with teams on resource management strategies
• Promote efficient data sharing across government jurisdictions
Requirements:
• Degree in natural resource management or a GIS diploma
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and data analysis tools
• Familiarity with management of spatial datasets
• Proven experience in handling remotely sensed data
