Aboutthe Role
The Project Engineer will oversee technical execution for utility‑scale storage projects, from feasibility to commissioning. This is a client‑facing role requiring strong coordination across EPC partners, permitting agencies, and internal project management. You’ll bring rigor to design reviews, risk assessments, and integration planning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering design reviews for large‑scale battery storage installations
- Oversee vendor qualification, procurement, and integration of key technologies
- Support permitting, environmental assessments, and compliance activities
- Manage technical documentation and interface with project finance teams
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and commissioning support
- Collaborate with construction teams to resolve field challenges
- Bachelor’s in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering; P.Eng preferred
- 5+ years of renewable energy or power project experience
- Demonstrated expertise in utility‑scale storage or solar/wind integration
- Strong knowledge of interconnection, grid codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills
