Data Center Building Operations Technician

Drive excellence in data center operations at Amazon as a Building Operations Technician. You’ll ensure equipment uptime above 99.999% while managing key electrical and mechanical systems.

This role involves maintaining critical components such as diesel generators, UPSs, and building automation systems to support mission-critical servers. A bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, combined with data center engineering experience, is essential. Your engineering skills will be put to the test as you tackle both mechanical and electrical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment for data center operations

• Ensure systems achieve better than 99.999% uptime

• Work on stand-by generators, UPSs, and building automation

• Serve as a front-line engineer addressing immediate issues

• Collaborate on innovative solutions and operational cost reduction

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Knowledge of network design and low-voltage cabling

• Experience in data center engineering

• Ability to work at heights and in varied positions

• Active Reliability Status security clearance
