Job Description Wood is currently seeking an Instrumentation & Controls EIT to join our Canada Projects business delivering some of the world's boldest and most critical projects. This opportunity is Onsite.
The Role Wood is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls EIT at our Edmonton office to join our busy and growing Projects Canada team due to growth in our business within Canada Projects and Oil and Gas. The role of the I&C EIT will be to work on small and large projects with a senior engineer.

Responsibilities Interfacing with various engineering disciplines.
Specifying, selecting and sizing field instrumentation (Pres/Temp/Flow/Level).
Development of instrument datasheets.
Support Senior Engineers in assigned deliverables and tasks.
Preparing instrument lists (I/O, instrument index, load lists, etc).
Support in the development of Material Take Offs (MTO’s).
Preparing Instrument Loop diagrams and termination wiring.
Support with the development of Material
Requisition s, Technical Bid Evaluations and award recommendations for various instrumentation commodities.
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.
Qualifications Expected
Instrumentation Technologist or Bachelors in Science degree in Engineering from an accredited University or College.
Willingness to learn and grow within Instrumentation and Control systems.
Minimum of 1
-3 years of relevant experience.
Good understanding of CSA.
Existing experience in the Bio Products or Oil and Gas sector is preferred.
Ability to problem-solve.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
Experience in the use of AVEVA Instrumentation or Smart Plant Instrumentation is an asset.
Registration through EGBC or APEGA as an EIT is an asset.
