We are seeking a Senior Contract Advisor to join the SASREF+ EC Project Department.
The SASREF+ EC Project Department is responsible for establishing an Ethane Cracker Complex that will convert 187 MMSCFD Ethane into chemicals to improve downstream profitability by safely, sustainably, and economically Plan Forecast Change converting into valuable premium petrochemicals.
Your primary role is to carry out developing and administering contracts functions during all stages of the project. These functions should include initiating guidelines, coordinating activities, and providing technical expertise to assure the proper and timely development and administration of contracts, maintaining conformity to the accepted corporate contracting policies and procedures, and meeting the proponent technical/operational requirements in a timely and most cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
Handle Procurement development and execution of diverse contractual actions using sound business judgment to achieve optimal commercial outcomes in a timely manner to meet the operational needs.
Provide complex technical advice and support to contract proponents from the conception of contract service requirements through the execution of a contract to the termination of the contract or service requirements.
Review contractual issues objectively and resolve disputed change orders in proactive manner and achieve appropriate resolutions; develop/ review different types of contracts/agreements for the projects.
Conduct market analysis to determine the best type of contract for the project and provide alternatives.
Implement Saudi Aramco Procurement Manual for all contracts and consciously monitor implementation.
Develop/review change order packages and ensure compliance to related guidelines and procedures.
Participate in negotiation meetings for all change orders.
Ensure implementation of the supplier performance evaluation by project teams, as well as other procurement and contracts management related actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business/Public Administration, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management or MIS from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
12 years’ experience in Contracts’ development and administration related to capital projects in Refining and Petrochemical industries, such that you are recognized as an expert.
CIPS, ISM, APICS or equivalent certification.
Mastery understanding of international procedures of projects phases, engineering, bidding procedures, procurement processes, construction and up to date best practices.
Mastery understanding of contracts, contract documents, change management, claim procedures and international experience along with experience working on large complex projects.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation, interpersonal and networking skills.
Five (5) years progressively responsible work or contact with auditing, accounting, and contracting techniques and procedures is preferred.
Dynamic attitude towards project improvements & savings and Ability to work in a diverse working environment, with multinational teams, and mobilize to different locations, both domestically and internationally, including remote areas as needed are also necessary.
