Piping Designer Alberta

Drive piping design excellence with a full-time position in Calgary, Alberta. In this Piping Designer role, coordinate drafting tasks and produce detailed piping design packages to ensure project success.

The Piping Designer will collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to deliver accurate drawings for diverse facilities. This role requires leadership in project coordination and mentorship of junior drafters, all while managing comprehensive drawings with tools like AutoCAD and CADWorx.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate drafting efforts to meet deadlines and quality standards

• Develop piping drawing packages using engineering inputs

• Complete as-builds based on QC mark-ups and field data

• Prepare and manage estimates for design tasks

• Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate drafters

Requirements:

• Design drafting diploma or equivalent experience

• 3-5 years in EPCM and petrochemical industries

• Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong mechanical background

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
