Transportation Engineer

Join HDR's Transportation Business Group as a Transportation Engineer in Calgary, Alberta. Engage in transit and multimodal projects that enhance the movement of people and goods effortlessly and sustainably.

As part of HDR, you will contribute to significant transportation initiatives across Western Canada. Focus on Preliminary Design, Transportation Master Plans, and active transportation studies while collaborating with project managers and a multidisciplinary team.

Your role will also involve preparing technical documentation, overseeing CAD designers, and performing vital analysis for transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to high-profile transportation projects nationally

• Prepare road alignments and cross-section designs

• Oversee teams of CAD designers and EITs

• Coordinate technical analysis with engineering teams

• Assist in proposal preparation and content generation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field

• 5+ years experience in transportation planning and design

• Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng)

• Skilled in CAD engineering software like AutoCAD

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
