Jacobs seeks a skilled HV Underground Transmission Engineer to lead and support key projects in underground cable technology. You will engage with various stakeholders, undertake technical calculations, and confirm project interfaces. This role requires strong design capabilities and a commitment to sustainability in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop specifications for HV/EHV cabling systems
• Provide expert technical support on cable engineering
• Prepare detailed cabling route specifications and reports
• Ensure accurate project interface with engineering functions
• Conduct internal and external meetings for coordination
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years in underground/subsea cable design
• Proficient with cable design software like CYMCAP
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE standards
• Willingness to travel across North America
