Join WSP as a Senior Tailings Engineer and impact mining infrastructure. Manage complex tailings projects, mentor teams, and promote sustainable practices on a global scale.
In this senior role, you will influence the design and implementation of tailings storage facilities and engage in vital hydrogeological investigations. With a background in civil or geotechnical engineering, your expertise will drive permitting and risk management strategies while overseeing multidisciplinary teams. You'll champion innovative waste strategies and mentor the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design tailings storage and waste management solutions
• Lead investigations to inform project decisions
• Manage project execution and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Develop junior engineers and foster growth
• Engage clients and support strategic business initiatives
Requirements:
• 10-15 years in mine waste engineering
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
• Proven expertise in risk-based decision-making
• Understanding of regulatory processes
