Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrolyzer Design

The ideal candidate will contribute to advancing scalable electrolyzer systems from component validation to prototype testing at O-Two Carbon. You will lead research in areas like hardware design, operational optimization, and performance retention while collaborating with University of Calgary advisors. A strong background in electrochemical engineering and reactor systems is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and optimize larger-area electrolyzer cells and prototypes
• Transition bench-scale MEA systems to pilot platforms
• Improve mass transport and pressure stability
• Plan experiments under elevated-pressure conditions
• Conduct electrochemical testing and performance evaluation
Requirements:
• PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years in CO₂ electrolyzers or electrochemical systems
• Hands-on experience in stack design and reactor development
• Technical writing skills and independent problem-solving
• Experience with CAD and electrochemical testing techniques
