Overview

Become a Product Safety Specialist with NOVA Chemicals, focusing on regulatory compliance in a hybrid work workplace. This position in Calgary emphasizes North American chemical regulations, ensuring product safety.

As part of the Product Safety and Additives Technology Team, you will provide expert guidance on chemical control laws and facilitate compliance reporting. Your role includes tracking regulatory changes, assessing product compliance, and responding to inquiries from environmental agencies, contributing to our mission of reshaping plastics sustainably.

Responsibilities

Monitor Canadian and U.S. chemical regulations
Evaluate compliance for products and manufacturing processes
Prepare responses for ECCC and EPA inquiries
Advocate for products during regulatory assessments
Maintain comprehensive regulatory tracking systems

Requirements

MSc in Chemistry and 6+ years related experience
Familiarity with Canadian and US TSCA regulations
Robust written and verbal communication abilities
Positive command of Microsoft Office and SAP
Proven problem-solving and independent work skills
