The Opportunity

Global Raymac is seeking a CAD Operator, in either Vancouver, or Invermere BC to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced land surveyors, technicians, and drafting professionals to produce high‑quality survey drawings, primarily supporting projects in our Land Development sector.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare detailed and accurate legal survey plans
  • Support the efficient and timely production of survey drawings
  • Use CAD software to develop high‑quality technical drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Process and interpret GPS and total station data, field notes, and sketches to create precise plans
  • Collaborate closely with team members to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
What You Bring
  • Diploma in CAD, Geomatics, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a drafting or CAD‑focused role
  • Experience with survey plans
  • Solid understanding of survey principles and plan requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required); experience with CAD/Mapping/GIS software is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and within a high‑performing team
Assets (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in the survey and geomatics industry within Western Canada
  • Familiarity with Micro Survey and Trimble Business Centre
  • Previous CAD/field survey experience in British Columbia
  • Experience with legal surveys or cadastral survey drafting would be considered a strong asset

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with your experience, skills, and the responsibilities of the role.
